How is septic installation different from cesspool conversion?

Cesspool conversion is the broader project, it includes choosing the right IWS, engineering, permitting, and retiring the old cesspool. Septic installation is the install itself: excavating the tank, building the leach field, and getting the system ready for inspection. Most Kauaʻi cesspool-to-septic conversions include both, and we coordinate the whole sequence.

Do you handle the engineered plans and DOH permit?

We coordinate with an engineer who handles the IWS design and submittal to the DOH Wastewater Branch. We work from the approved plans and support the permit process. We do not stamp engineered designs ourselves.
